Reflectix® Insulation Panels

The reflectix used on our greenhouses is double sided so the reflection of radiant energy works in both directions, in all seasons. During the summer solstice, the reflectix reduces the amount of radiant heat transferred to the Growing Dome from the outside. During the winter solstice, the reflectix reduces the amount of radiant heat transferred from the inside of the Growing Dome to the outside. On its own, the reflectix insulation has an R-value of about 1-1.5.
